ANDREA GRIFFANTE (Schio, 1980) is a Reseach Fellow at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania. He obtained his MA from the University of Trieste and his PhD from the Lithuanian Institute of History in Vilnius. His main field of interest is the history of East Central Europe with a focus on the southeastern Baltic region. He is the author of more than 20 articles on contemporary Lithuanian history published in Italian, Lithuanian and international scientific journal, and the editor of Confini della modernità. Lituani, non-lituani e stato nazionale nella Lituania del XX secolo (Gorizia, 2010).
